A flavor is a less concentrated dilution of an extract in a base liquid such as alcohol, vegetable glycerin, water, vegetable oil or a combination thereof.
Because of this dilution, a recipe will usually call for a larger, easier to-measure amount of flavoring vs. an extract.
For a tasty raspberry treat, add to chocolate sauces and puddings, whipped cream and icings.
Or add a few drops to vinaigrettes for a berry zest.
